Setting Up the Host Computer

You can only use a laptop or desktop computer as an ActiveSync partner.

1.) Create an Active Sync partnership using a serial or USB connection.

2.) Run the Bluetooth Configuration Utility on the host PC to determine which COM port is configured for local serial service.

3.) Open ActiveSync on the host computer.

4.) Select “File/Connection Settings”

5.) Configure the host computer to monitor the COM port that was identified in step 2. Make sure you uncheck the statements related to USB and Ethernet connections.
