Boot from floppy.(or startup
disk) Choose start without cdrom support
At the A:\ sys c:
Comes back with system
transferred.
At the A:\ copy mscdex.exe c:
At the A:\ copy aspicd.sys c:
At the A:\ copy btcdrom.sys c:
At the A:\ copy oakcdrom.sys c:
At this point we removed the
floppy drive and put the cdrom drive in.
At the c:\
copy con autoexec.bat
c:\mscdex.exe /d:gunner
f6 (shows ^z)
enter
At the c:\
copy con config.sys
device=c:\aspicd.sys /d:gunner
device=c:\btcdrom.sys
/d:gunner
device=c:\oakcdrom.sys
/d:gunner
f6 (shows ^z)
enter
At the c:\ ctrl + alt + del
after rebooting you should
have support for most any IDE cdrom.
